# What happens to my number when I cancel Agentline NZ?

**Short answer:** When a paid plan ends, your number is held for 14 days before it's released, or 2 days if you cancel during the free trial. A released number can't be recovered. You don't own the number and can't port it out in this version of the service.

## How to cancel

Cancel from the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and your agent keeps working until then.

## How long your number is held

| When | Number held for |
| --- | --- |
| A paid plan ends, including for non-payment | 14 days |
| You cancel during the free trial | 2 days after the trial ends |

The hold starts when the plan actually ends: at the end of the billing period you've paid for, or at the end of a cancelled trial. Inboxes your account no longer includes are held for the same time, and resubscribing before the hold ends restores everything.

## FAQ
