Your assistant calls Agentline NZ's send_sms tool, Agentline NZ checks the message for marketing, spam and phishing and checks your limits, then sends it from your NZ 028 number and records it in your dashboard's audit log. ChatGPT and other assistants that support write-action confirmation ask you to approve the text first.
Steps
- Your assistant asks to send. The assistant calls send_sms with the recipient and the message. Assistants that mark write actions, such as ChatGPT, ask you to confirm.
- Agentline NZ checks it. Agentline NZ blocks promotional content, spam and phishing, opted-out recipients and anything over your rate limits or allowance. A blocked message returns an error that explains why.
- The text is sent. The message goes out from your 028 number to the NZ mobile. It shows as sent, because the carrier doesn't return delivery receipts.
- Replies come back. Replies arrive in your Agentline NZ account, and your assistant can read them with list_messages.
You're the sender
Under Agentline NZ's terms, you're the sender of every message your agent sends, and you're responsible for following the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. See What we don't allow.
FAQ
Can I give my assistant read-only access?
Yes. In ChatGPT you can untick send when you approve access. With an API key, only give your code the key if it needs to send.
