When a paid plan ends, your number is held for 14 days before it's released, or 2 days if you cancel during the free trial. A released number can't be recovered. You don't own the number and can't port it out in this version of the service.
How to cancel
Cancel from the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and your agent keeps working until then.
How long your number is held
| When | Number held for |
|---|---|
| A paid plan ends, including for non-payment | 14 days |
| You cancel during the free trial | 2 days after the trial ends |
The hold starts when the plan actually ends: at the end of the billing period you've paid for, or at the end of a cancelled trial. Inboxes your account no longer includes are held for the same time, and resubscribing before the hold ends restores everything.
